A Life of Service.
Mike earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Carleton University and later obtained a law degree from the University of Alberta. These formative years shaped his analytical skills and understanding of the legal system — assets that have served him well throughout his public service career. Before entering provincial politics, Mike practiced law, giving him first-hand insight into the everyday concerns of citizens. His legal background sparked a deeper passion for advocacy, leading him to seek elected office where he believed he could make a more meaningful impact. Independent. Experienced. Ready to Represent. "I'm not here to play political games. I'm running as an Independent to represent the people of Abbotsford and Langley — with honesty, accountability, and real-world experience." A Local Champion Mike has never stopped fighting for the people of Abbotsford and Langley. His record includes securing funding for critical infrastructure, advancing agricultural and economic initiatives, and improving healthcare access in our region. Mike’s approach is rooted in listening to people, acting on what matters, and delivering results. His personal journey, from growing up in Matsqui to serving as a cabinet minister, reflects a deep understanding of this community’s values and challenges.
